The First Impression: A Grand Welcome
As you arrive at Park Hotel Villa Giustinian, you’re instantly greeted by a beautiful façade that radiates old-world charm. The hotel consists of the main villa and two annexes, all surrounded by a tranquil park with centuries-old trees. The ambiance is serene and elegant—perfect for travelers seeking a more refined and peaceful stay just outside the hustle of Venice.
The Rooms: Classic Charm with Antique Touches
One of the highlights of the hotel is its authentically styled rooms. Think antique furniture, floral drapes, chandeliers, and framed paintings that give you the feeling of stepping back in time. While the rooms are definitely beautiful and unique, it’s worth noting that they vary quite a bit in layout and size.
We stayed in one of the traditional double rooms, which was tastefully decorated and offered modern comforts like air conditioning, a minibar, and a private bathroom. However, the prices are on the higher end—so if you’re looking for a budget-friendly stay, this may not be your first pick.
Pool & Spa Area: Beautiful But Not Free
The hotel features a lovely outdoor pool and jacuzzi area, surrounded by sun loungers and elegant design. It’s a relaxing spot to unwind after a day of exploring Venice or nearby attractions.
But here’s the catch:
- Access to the pool costs €10 per person, which is quite surprising for a hotel of this standard.
- Additionally, guests are required to wear a swim cap, and if you don’t have one, it’ll cost you €3 per person extra. These additional costs felt a bit excessive, especially considering the already high room rates.
We personally believe that guests staying at a hotel should be able to use the pool without any extra charges, and at the very least, this should be clearly stated before booking.
Breakfast & Facilities
The hotel offers a continental breakfast buffet, which is served in a charming dining room with views of the garden. You’ll find freshly baked croissants, local pastries, fruits, cheeses, and good coffee—enough to start your day right.
There’s also a cozy bar and several indoor lounges that reflect the aristocratic style of the villa. WiFi is free and available throughout the property.
Location & Surroundings
Mirano is a small town just 20–30 minutes from Venice by car. It’s a peaceful location away from the crowds, and there are a few nice restaurants nearby. The hotel provides free parking, which is a big plus if you’re traveling by car.
It’s a good base if you want to visit Venice during the day but prefer to stay in a quiet, countryside-like setting at night.

Final Verdict
Park Hotel Villa Giustinian is a beautiful and memorable place to stay, especially for travelers who appreciate classic Italian design and history. The peaceful setting and well-preserved architecture make it ideal for a romantic getaway or a quiet retreat from busy Venice.
However, the extra charges for pool access and swim caps were disappointing and felt unnecessary for a hotel in this price category. We’d recommend this hotel to travelers who are looking for something charming and unique—just be aware of the extra costs and plan accordingly.
